Celebrating Canada 150 will be the primary theme of many of CPL's regular and special programs throughout 2017. We plan to incorporate a celebration of local, provincial and national history as we engage the community, create lasting partnerships and instill community pride. This is just the beginning - more exciting plans to follow soon!
It's Flag Day! Celebrating Canada's 150th Birthday with Children's Author Carolyn j. Morris
Celebrate Flag Day and Canada's 150th with CPL and Read Local Caledon author, Carolyn j. Morris as she launches her newest book in her Railfence Bunch series, Happy Birthday Canada! It'll be a birthday party complete with cake, balloons and streamers! Make your own Canadian flag or design your own - just two of the fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

In partnership with Brampton Caledon Community Living, the library is pleased to offer a monthly FREE program designed specifically for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
On the fourth Friday afternoon of the month from September to June (excluding December), the Albion Bolton Branch will host a fun and informative 1.5 hour program, which may feature guest speakers, crafts, stories, music, information and, of course, light refreshments.
Our beautiful country is turning 150 years old this year and Library Living will be celebrating throughout 2017. Join us as we journey to a new province each month and learn about the people, culture, food, attractions and more

Author Series 2017
Caledon Public Library is excited to host Ann Walmsley, author of The Prison Book Club, which relates to Ann's experiences as a volunteer prison book club organizer for inmates at the Collins Bay and Beavercreek Institutions in Ontario.The Prison Book Club recently won the prestigious 2016 Edna Staebler Award for Creative Nonfiction and provides a fascinating glimpse into the lives of incarcerated men, as well as the transformative and connective power of literature. Author Series 2017
Amy Stuart's debut novel, Still Mine, was an instant bestseller in Canada and at Caledon Public Library. Heritage Trivia Night
In partnership with Heritage Caledon, Caledon Public Library will host a Heritage Trivia Night with Master of Ceremonies, best-selling author and long-time Caledon resident, Ken Weber. Groups of four, including local celebrities, will be challenged by questions which focus on our unique history as a community, province and country. Stay tuned for more details.
