Class Visits & Outreach
Visitng the library or inviting a librarian to your classroom is a great way to connect students of all ages with all the exciting and useful resources available at the public library. From 3D printing to coding to an interactive story time, we'll work with you to create the best program for your students.
In support of this initiative there are a number of services we offer:
Outreach (at your school):
Story Times - programming developed relating to themes and topics that are a part of the curriculum;
Book Talks - suggestions for independent reading assignments, or for winter and spring breaks;
Class Visits (at your local library):
Orientations and Tour - a Youth Services staff member will guide students on a tour of the library, showing them different sections, speaking to them about our services;
Project Talks - classes that are working on a specific project can be shown a variety of resources that will help students with the project;
We look forward to establishing and maintaining our relationship with your school! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org subject line: class visits; alternatively, call 905-857-1400 ext. 221. for more details.
