Family Literacy Day 2019

Let's celebrate Family Literacy Day! Held every year, Family Literacy Day's goal is to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. Here are some events we have planned for the day:

Family Literacy Day - Read, Discover & Create Together

Enjoy some self-directed early literacy activities to celebrate Family Literacy Day, and be sure to borrow a book or two!

  • All Branches | January 26

Family Literacy Day - A Special PJ Story Time

Join us for a special story time in celebration of Family Literacy Day - a day to highlight the importance and value of reading together. There'll be delightful stories, crafts, and hot chocolate, too. PJs are strongly encouraged.

  • Albion Bolton | 10:30 am - 11:15 am | January 26 | all ages

Family Literacy Day - Three Communities, One Story

We’ll unveil the book chosen for the Three Communities, One Story initiative, in which three library communities (Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga) join to read one book with their families. We love the book that's we've chosen, and we think you and your children will love it too.
