Caledon Public Library

Class Visits and Outreach

Caledon Public Library is always eager to renew and build upon our relationships with our community schools!  We feel it is important that we develop these relationships to be able to support the needs of children in their school activities and their recreational reading.  In support of this initiative there are a number of services we offer:

Outreach (at your school):

  • Story Times - programming developed relating to themes and topics that are a part of the curriculum;
  • Book Talks - suggestions for independent reading assignments, or for winter and spring breaks;

Class Visits (at your local library):

  • Orientations and Tour - a Youth Services staff member will guide students on a tour of the library, showing them different sections, speaking to them about our services;
  • Project Talks - classes that are working on a specific project can be shown a variety of resources that will help students with the project;

We look forward to establishing and maintaining our relationship with your school!  Please contact Dave Rilling, Youth Services Coordinator 905-857-1400 ext. 221; alternatively, for more details.
