Volunteer Orientation

Our Teen Volunteer Program at CPL matches youth (ages 12 - 17) with a variety of engaging, age-appropriate volunteer opportunities throughout the year and at various branches. Students must attend a one time, mandatory volunteer orientation in order to volunteer at CPL. All participants must have a parent/guardian present for the first 30 minutes of orientation. Sneak Peeks

Sneak Peeks offers student volunteers the opportunity to read advance copies of books not yet available at book stores or libraries and earn volunteer hours for doing so! Read an ARC (advance reading copy) and submit a short review (short, not more than 500 words) which will be posted to our Teen Read Blog.  For more information, contact

TAG: Teen Advisory Group

Are you between the ages of 13 and 18?  Do you want to earn community hours and meet new teens in your community?  Be sure to join CPL’s TAG (Teen Advisory Group) where you can suggest/implement additions or changes to our teen collections as well as recommend teen programs and and help plan events! Tech Savvy Teens

Tech Savvy Teens will be available throughout the months of October and November to help with your basic tech needs!  From downloading eBooks to your eReader, to setting up an email account, to printing double-sided and more.  No appointment necessary.  Contact our YS department at if you are a teen interested in volunteering with our TST team.
