Join the Adult Summer Reading Challenge!

The CPL Adult Summer Reading Challenge is back! From July 4 – August 28, complete the weekly reading challenges below and fill out this form to be eligible to win gift certificates from local businesses. 

You can also use a printed ballots available at any Caledon Public Library branch to enter.  There is a limit of one entry per person/week. 

Plus, be sure to stay connected with our social feeds, to make sure you don’t miss any surprise challenges that might popup throughout the summer.



Week 2 Challenge July 11 – 17 
Read a book by an indigenous author OR visit the library’s Truth and Reconciliation page on the website and explore a listed resource

Week 3 Challenge July 18 – 24 
Read a book recommended on CPL’s Reasons2Read Facebook page OR post your own reading recommendation on CPL’s Reasons2Read Facebook page

Week 4 Challenge July 25 – 31 
Read on your patio or in your garden or a park OR read a book from a CPL staff recommendation list.

Week 5 Challenge August 1 – 7
Read a recommendation from a friend or family member OR read a book nominated for an award in 2021. Looking for more recommendations? Ask a Librarian.

Week 6 Challenge August 8 – 14 
Read a book published in 2022 OR read/watch a book made into a movie or tv show (Check out our Hoopla or Kanopy for more movie ideas)

Week 7 Challenge August 15 – 21 
Read a newspaper or magazine (you can find an excellent digital selection on our website) OR listen to an audiobook

Week 8 Challenge August 22 – 28
Read a book written by someone from a different culture OR sign up to receive a CPL list or newsletter
