Community Connection Kits

The clients are responsible for the items in the kit.

This will be decided on a case by case basis; depending on the circumstances and nature of the damage.

Yes, the client will need to be a Caledon resident and will be invited to sign up for a library card on their first kit pickup. One piece of valid personal identification displaying the applicant’s current address must be verified.

Eight (8) kits are available for a maximum of 21 days; two (2) kits are designated as quick turn-around kits and will circulate for 1-2 days.

Extensions are not automatic, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

The community partner completes the Referral Form on CPL website; submits and library staff will contact the Client.  Please allow 2-3 business days to process from the time of request to kit pickup.  The Client will be contacted no more than 3 times to arrange a pickup date.  If contact has not been made, the caseworker will be notified.

Emergency kits (if requested) are for pickup in Bolton only. 

Yes, and the Chromebook, hotspot, and case will be labelled with instructions.

Yes; CPL resources will be shared if there is a need.

Clients can indicate if they need assistance in the additional information box on the referral form.

No, they will be disinfected between circulations.

Each kit comes in its own case. 

It comes with Zoom and and the ability to log in to Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs . Clients will be encouraged to save all materials to a USB drive, as Chromebooks will be wiped between use.  A one time complimentary USB drive will be offered to the Client at initial pick up
