Please note that due to COVID-19 this service is temporarily unavailable.
Can’t find what you need in our collection? CPL’s interlibrary loan service lets you request material from other library systems in Ontario.
Step One Check the Guidelines
Interlibrary loan service has resumed at Caledon Public Library in a limited capacity. Due to budget limitations and provincial cuts to the Southern Ontario Library Service (SOLS) funding, the Library introduced the following restrictions:
- A maximum of ten interlibrary loan requests per patron at a given time
- Requests for DVDs, music CDs, and board books will no longer be accepted
- CPL will limit the number and type of items that are shared with other libraries
- We are unable to process requests for newer materials, and can only request materials that are older than one year
Step Two Check the Caledon Public Library Collection
Before you begin, please make sure you have checked Caledon Public Library’s catalogue for the item you are requesting.
We cannot order items that CPL already owns through interlibrary loan. Please search for title and author, check spelling, and be sure the book you want isn’t already available at one of our branches. Please connect with a staff member if you need assistance. If you are sure Caledon Public Library does not own the book you need, you may place an interlibrary loan request.
Step THree Place your Request
You have two options when requesting a book through interlibrary loan. You can either use these instructions to place your own interlibrary loan request, or fill out the form below. Please note that fields marked with an asterisk “*” are mandatory.
Note: please check form after submission for confirmation.
