A DAISY reader is an assistive device which plays a special type of audiobook format called Digital Accessible Information.
Users can listen to the audiobook, search the text, place bookmarks, navigate line by line, and control the speaking speed of the text. These machines also play MP3-CDs and regular audiobooks on CD.
CPL’s model is a Victor Reader Classic.

A dhol is a double-sided barrel drum played mostly as an accompanying instrument to the traditional Punjabi dance of Bhangra. It is widely used in India, usually in the Punjab region.
The dhol comes in a bag and includes a strap and 3 different sticks for playing. Click here for a tutorial.

Our latest addition to our instrument collection – dholak drums!
The dholak or dholki is a double-headed hand drum originating in India and Pakistan. It is often used in traditional Indian music as well as Indian folk music, and is a staple of Indian weddings.
We have one large and one small dholak, and each one comes with a carrying bag. Click here for a tutorial.

Our mobile Wi-Fi hotspots provide Internet access to Wi-Fi enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and PCs. They offer unlimited data and work anywhere within Canada where there is Rogers cellular coverage.
Hotspots are available at all branches and have a 7 day loan period. You must have a valid CPL library card and be 18+ years old to borrow a hotspot, or be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Chase away your winter blues with light therapy lamps for in-house use at selected branches. A limited quantity are also available to check out to use in the comfort of your own home.
The bright light from this therapy lamp simulates the natural sunlight that may be missed during the winter months or as people work or live in a space without adequate natural lighting. Light plays an essential role in our circadian rhythm, which affects our energy levels, mood and sleep.
Light therapy lamps are available at all branches and have a 7 day loan period.

Ontario Parks Passes includes a day-use permit for one vehicle and its passengers to any provincial park in Ontario subject to park regulations. Valid between January 1 and December 31, 2023.
A vehicle permit, a $5 day-use coupon, is also included, which can be kept for future regular day-use.
Passes have a 7 day loan period.

These pocket-sized coding robots follow the lines you draw with markers and respond to colour codes by changing their speed, direction or LED light colour. Once you learn the basics, you can use drag-and-drop coding to build more advanced programs.

It is committed to conserving Caledon’s rich agricultural ecosystem by preserving local plant varieties through distributing, growing, nurturing, harvesting, and sharing seeds. Our collection of seeds have been specifically selected based on Caledon’s climate and growing conditions.

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA)’s partnership with Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) gives members access to a variety of local places and activities.
- Passes will admit up to 6 people to all CVC & TRCA conservation areas in 1 vehicle
