Library cards are valid for one (1) year from date of issue, at which time they may be renewed. Any changes in patron information must be verified with valid identification and any outstanding charges must be paid at time of renewal. You can renew your card either over the phone or in person at any branch, however, Identification or payment must be processed during first post-renewal visit if membership is renewed by phone.
The information contained in your library record is confidential. Caledon Public Library respects the privacy of your library account as outlined by the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Public Libraries Act.
We have waived all fines since the onset of the pandemic last March, and are pleased that the Town of Caledon Council has approved the elimination of overdue fines through to the end of 2021 in an effort to support the social and economic recovery of residents and reduce barriers to library use.
Outstanding balances are also forgiven.
Customers are still responsible for the replacement cost of lost or damaged materials.
