Although we cannot welcome you into our library branches at this time, Caledon Public Library is excited to announce the first steps in a gradual return to library services.
Library Material Returns
Drop boxes at all branches are now open 24/7.
- customers are requested to keep items that do not fit into the drop boxes until branches open
- fines have been suspended indefinitely, however we are encouraging the prompt return of borrowed items so they can be prepared for others to enjoy
- all returned materials will be quarantined for 7 days before going back into circulation and so you may continue to see items on your account for a number of days after you have returned them

holds can be placed by using the library’s catalogue through our website or mobile app
holds can be picked up at the Albion Bolton, Caledon Village or Margaret Dunn Valleywood Branches
notification of holds is provided by either phone or email
upon notification that a requested item is available, customers have seven (7) days from the time of notification to pick up items
customers MUST bring the card on which the hold was placed when checking out the item, or valid ID if they have registered for a temporary card online.
Holds Pickup Procedure
customers will not be allowed to enter the library, but will be directed to a designated area that respects physical distancing. There, you will line up, show your library card and safely pick up materials from a table outside the library
materials may also be returned at this time
for the continued health and safety of our library customers and staff, please only venture out if you feel safe doing so. If anyone in your household is sick or in isolation, please refrain from borrowing. This will help us all feel more comfortable and confident with the safety of our services.
Please note: Donations will not be accepted at this time
