What do you want to create today? Our makerspaces are do-it-yourself studios where everyone can discover high-tech to low-tech tools and technology to design and build projects. You can book a timeslot with the equipment of your choice and bring your project to life!

If you’re new to maker technology and tools, we can help you get started. You can join a makerspace studio workshop or book a one-on-one session with a maker specialist. All you need is your library card and a sense of fun.

Enjoy CPL makerspaces at the following locations:

Margaret Dunn Valleywood (MDV) Collaboration Studio

Cory Trépanier Creativity Studio at the new Caledon East branch
- Please note that the Cory Trépanier Creativity Studio is open for use during all library branch open hours. A CPL Maker Specialist is onsite at the Cory Trépanier Creative Studio:
  - Mondays: 12pm – 5pm
  - Tuesday: 12pm – 8:30pm
  - Wednesday: 2pm – 8:30pm
  - Thursday: 10am – 5pm
  - Friday: 10am – 6pm
  - Saturday – Every 2nd week from 10 am – 4 pm. Ask a staff member for dates.

Who Can Use the CPL Makerspaces?
How Do I Book the Maker Equipment and How Much Does It Cost?
- Bookings can be made up to 30 days in advance
- Maximum of three (3) hours per day, subject to availability
- Maximum of two (2) bookings per week
- Reservations will only be held for 15 minutes after the scheduled start time

Do I Need to Do Anything before My Booking? Complete Any Certifications?
1. Read and agree to CPL’s Internet and Technology Acceptable Use Policy including CPL’s Makerspace Guidelines
2. Online certifications are required prior to using the 3D printer or Glowforge. Once certification is complete, customers will complete a webform and the status will be added to their library card account for future reference

How Can I Learn How to Use the Equipment?
CPL makerspaces are for everyone to learn and create in. We offer many different learning options: self-directed online tutorials, one-on-one sessions with maker specialists, and in-person studio workshops with small groups.
