Donate Books and Other Materials
Give Your Pre-Loved Items a Second Life
Donations of books and other materials help support Caledon Public Library’s collections, programs, and community initiatives. All donated items are accepted with the understanding that the Library may use, sell, or otherwise dispose of them at its discretion. When appropriate, donated materials may be added to the Library’s collections for others to enjoy.
What We Accept
We gladly accept the following items in good condition:
- Paperbacks and hardcovers published within the last five years
- DVDs and audiobooks
- Board games and puzzles with no missing pieces
- Fully dried, harvested seeds
What We Cannot Accept
Please note that we do not accept:
- Damaged items, including those that are stained, water-damaged, defaced, mildewed, infested, or otherwise unsuitable
- Textbooks and magazines
- VHS tapes and cassette tapes
- Video games
Preparing Your Donation
Please complete the donation form and submit it with your materials. Large donations should be packed in boxes for ease of handling.
Tax receipts are not issued for donated materials.
Friends of Caledon Public Library
Materials that are not added to the Library’s collections may be donated to the Friends of Caledon Public Library for resale. Proceeds from these sales are reinvested in the Library to support future purchases and services that benefit the community.

Caledon Public Library reserves the right to refuse donations deemed unsuitable to the Library’s mission, goals, policies, and best interests.
